Self Portrait
For Week 1's Homework I made a self portrait. Having to use a photo reference is made t more difficult to made details in most areas but i made up for it for a natural tone.
I Felt that using Darker materials would work alot better in terms of contrast with the pale colour of the face. Using the pastels I made my face soft to reflect the quality of the photo and to make it more natural toning, but it made my facial features blend into my face to much, using a Fine-liner I made the features for pronounce. I felt that this was a good attempt probably one of the best Self Portraits I've done in a while. how i could improve the Portrait would be to improve the shading on the more darker parts on my face like the nose. the reason why i did not was because i felt like it would make my face too dark.

In this Self Portrait i have learned that shading is important then it comes to making a 2D images three Dimensional and i could do it again or improve on it in some way i would have put better shading on the face.
